Nataline M (McRae) Summers

Nataline McRae Summers was born in Barbour County, Alabama on September 13, 1943 to the late Mabel Montgomery McRae and Bennie J. McRae, Sr.  She departed this life on June 15, 2017 at 6:45am.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church where she was the musician and engaged in other activities. After marriage she became affiliated with Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a deaconess, member of the Senior Choir and in other activities until her health failed. She was the owner of Summers Home Day Care and was very dedicated until she retired.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bennie J. McRae, Sr., mother, Mable Montgomery McRae, husband, William O. Summers, Sr., mother-in-law, Lula G. Summers, father-in-law, Wesley Summers, two brothers-in-law, Quister J. Summers and Wesley Summers III.

Surviving members of her family includes her five children, Cynthia S. Thomas, Virgilene (Derrick) Summers-Washington of Selma, AL, Margaret Campbell of Birmingham, AL,  William (Jeanie) Summers, Jr. of Yorktown, VA, and Frederick Summers of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, one God Son, Gregory Maurice Miller; three brothers and three sisters-in-law; Bennie J. (Virgilene) McRae, Jr. of Trotwood, OH, Lawrence (Rosa) McRae, and Jerry R. (Shirley) McRae of Tuskegee, AL; four brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law, Cleophus (Dorothy) Summers and Rev. Levi (Leola) Summers of Prichard, AL, Alex (Lester Ann) Summers of Selma, AL, Arthur (Gussie) Summers of Augusta, GA, and Maureen K. Summers of Sacramento, CA; a devoted son-in law, Robert Thomas, Jr; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
