Stanley E. Stewart was born in Greensboro, AL at Hale County Hospital to Gloria Stewart English and the late Howard Stewart, Jr.
Stanley confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Providence Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. F. D. Craig.
Stanley was preceded in death by his father Howard Stewart, Jr. and brother, James Howard Stewart.
Stanley attended Marion Elementary School and Francis Marion High School. In high school he participated in Track and Field and won numerous medals. He played Football but Basketball was his passion. Stanley was the MVP and received numerous trophies in 1987-1988. Stanley became known as the Oak Tree #44.
Stanley leaves to cherish his memories his mother Gloria Stewart English and step father, J.C. English; one sister, Clara Faye Hall; one brother, Gregory L. Stewart both of Marion, Alabama; grandmother, Mary Lou Brown; aunt, Shirley (Yanna) Brown; special niece, Lashunda Johnson; special cousin, Merlinda Stevenson all of Marion, Alabama, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
