Carl L Steadman

Dea. Carl Steadman was born to Jerry and Lorene Steadman Sr. in Tuskegee, Al on June 9, 1957.

He departed this life on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Huntsville Hospital in the presence of his family.

He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Providence Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. F.D. Craig. He later joined the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Marion, AL under the leadership of Rev. B.L. Tucker. He served as deacon at both churches. He later moved to Huntsville, Alabama and actively attended First Baptist Church in  Huntsville, AL.

He graduated from Westside High School in 1975 where he played     basketball and baseball. He later attended trade school at Herzing in    Birmingham, Al for contracting and electrician. He worked as a Master builder and in carpentry for many years. He was currently employed with Automotive Lightning in Pulaski, Tennessee.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to Daphne Heard on April 24, 1999. There were no children born to this union.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Lorene Steadman Sr. and two brothers Joseph and Jerry Steadman Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife Daphne Steadman of Huntsville, Al; a son, Carlos (Kristie) Steadman; one loving daughter Kimala (Michael ) Essex Sr. both of Marion, Al; a son Mitrell Sanders of Landover, Maryland; Eight grandchildren, Carlos Steadman Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Kendall Steadman of Birmingham, Al; Keldrick, Carriea, Kristalyn and Carlishalyn Steadman, Michael Essex Jr. and Jamarian Essex all of Marion, Al. 2 great- grandchildren Brenda and Carlashia Steadman.

Four sisters, Lunette (Norman) Sanders of Chicago, IL; Margaret (Billy Joe) Thompson of Chicago, IL and Marion, Al; Jacqueline (Albert) Southall of Selma, Al and Catherine (Alex) Fitts of Suwanee, GA; A mother-in-law Lizzie Heard of Marion, Al; Seven brothers-in-law Alfred (Callie) Heard Jr. of Huntsville, Al; Donnie (Barbara) Heard Turlock, CA; Rodney (Donna) Heard of San Antonio, Texas; Tyrone Heard of Tuscaloosa, AL; Mark (Angela) Heard and Jerome Heard both of    Huntsville, Al; and Victor (Jennifer) Heard of Anchorage, Alaska; 3    sisters in law Annette Hall of Marion, Al; Jacqueline (Isom ) Atkins Jr. of Tuscaloosa, Al and Kimberly (Antario) Gault of Knoxville, Tennessee. Two special longtime friends Tony Nelson of Marion, Al; and Toni Ridgeway of Atlanta, GA; one uncle, 6 aunts, and a host of nieces,   nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
