Earl D Lapsley

Earl Dwight Lapsley was born May 24, 1956.  He departed his life on April 5,  2019 at Emory Decatur Hospital in Decatur, Georgia.

Earl confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Morning Star Baptist Church.

Earl was a 1977 graduate of Francis Marion High School.  He was a quiet    person who enjoyed helping others.  He spent his career doing just that by working at both Perry County and Southland Nursing Home.  Upon moving to Stone Mountain Georgia he continued his passion at Grady Memorial   Hospital until his health failed.

He’s preceded in death by his brother Johnny Lapsley, Sr. and sister Arnita Rutledge.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife Cecillia R. Lapsley; one stepdaughter Melanie Rucker and two grandchildren, Jariod and Sasha    Rucker; a loving mother, Amanda Lapsley; four sisters, Ethel Gardner,  Gwendolyn Brooks, Debra Lapsley and Janice Lapsley all of Marion, Alabama ; two brothers,  William (Cynthia) Lapsley and Harrison (Helen) Green of Marion, Alabama ; four aunts, Ollie Payton, Queen (Eddie) Kynard, Lou McGruder, Vera Jones and Barbara (Blane) Tindall; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
