Alberta Foster Crooks was born June 28, 1961 to Mr. James and Leola Foster. She entered into eternal rest January 12, 2022.
Alberta confessed Christ at an early age and joined Hopewell Baptist Church, Marion, Alabama. Later she joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church Greensboro, Alabama.
Alberta was preceded in death by her father James Foster; mother, Leola Foster; brothers, Louis Foster, Sr., Lee Andrew Foster, Willie Ed Foster, and Robert Foster; sisters, Julia Moore, and Mattie Lee Foster.
Alberta leaves to cherish a loving and devoted husband, Melvin Lee Crooks; one son, Eric (Latoya) Foster, three stepsons, Kallion Ryans, Eric Ryans, Javarro Crooks; thirteen grandchildren, one great grand; four sisters, Gloria (Elmer) Goree of Marion, Alabama, Stella (Bobby) Billingsley of Dothan, Alabama, Doris (Nathan) Edwards of Moundville, Alabama, and Angie Cureton of Marion, Alabama; one brother, James (Aina Ray) Foster of Waukegan, Illinois; six aunts, Phoebe Moore of Birmingham, Alabama, Bettye Hatch of Chicago, Illinois, Bernice Ward of Bessemer, Alabama, Annie Brooks and Emma Sewell of Marion, Alabama, and Carrie Sewell of Sacramento, California; four brother-in-laws, Robert (Retha) Lee, Alonzo Crooks, Alvin (Felicia) Crooks, and Van Presley of Marion, Alabama; six sister-in-laws, Mary (Joe) Thomas, Gladys Crooks, Rosie (Charles) Tinker, Jr., Delois Crooks, Patricia Beard, Virginia Foster, Betty Ansah, and Nellie Foster; three devoted aunts-in-law, Bessie Abrams, Louvenia Tinker, and Minnie Bell; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
