Ms. Bertha H. Moore was born November 13, 1952, to the late Mrs. Rosie L. Hawkins and Mr. Clemon Hawkins. Ms. Moore was a devoted member of St. James Baptist Church. Ms. Moore departed this life at DCH peacefully June 7, 2019.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosie L. Hawkins; her father, Clemon Hawkins; four sisters, Annie Mae Walker, Dorothy Mae Sewell, Mildred Sanders, and Louise Ford; and four brothers, Gene A. Hawkins, William A. Hawkins, John Hawkins, and Charles Hawkins.
She leaves to cherish her smile and memories to her special son Henry Lee Harris, Jr.; three sisters, Delois Billingsley (Marion, Alabama), Mary B. Collins (Chicago, Illinois), and Rosa Corfield (Long Island, New York); three brothers, Joe Lewis (Angela) Hawkins, Clemon Hawkins (Los Angeles, California), and David Hawkins (Georgia). Six grandchildren, Henrietta Sawyer, La’shanti Harris, and Marianna Harris (Marion); Garey Edwards (Gadsden), Jordan Howze (Tuscaloosa), and Keytavius Woods (Fort Wayne, Indiana), and one special great-grandson, Demontae Taylor, Jr., a host of nieces, nephews, classmates , relatives and friends.
