Chester Earl Mims was born in Marion, Alabama to the late Eddie Mims, Sr. and Mary F. Moore-Mims on November 6, 1973. He confessed Christ early in life and joined Morning Star Baptist Church.
Chester was preceded in death by his parents; Eddie, Sr. and Mary Mims; one brother, Freeman L. Mims; one sister, Sara Mims-Brown.
Chester transition on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the age of 46. He was the youngest of nine children. He let you know that he was our baby. He is known as Ched by family and Chad by friends. He was loved by all of us and will be truly missed.
He leaves to cherish his life journey and love always his family four brothers, Eddie, Jr. (Patricia) Mims, Edward Mims, Alexander (Tammie) Mims, Lee Andrew, Sr. (Jacqueline) Mims all of Marion, Alabama; two sisters, Shirley (Gregory) Campbell and Johnnie Mae (Henry) Russell both of Marion, Alabama; four aunts, Clara Scott of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Mary N. Moore – Lewis, Gloria (Jacob) Perkins, Ruby Moore all of Marion, Alabama; one uncle, Willie Mims, of Fort Wayne, Indiana and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loves him dearly, God Son, Kenneth Curry, two special friends, Crystal Kinard and Samantha Curry.
