His departure in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his legacy of love and perseverance lives on.
Raised in Marion, David was the beloved son of the late Wade and Alberta Fuller. He embraced his faith early in life, becoming a devoted member of the Green Liberty Baptist Church. Throughout his life, David encountered many challenges, but he faced them with courage and grace, always finding solace in his faith.
David's love story with Dorothy Fuller began with their marriage, a union that flourished for 39 years. David was a proud father to six children, one of whom preceded him in death, leaving behind David Jones, Nakeisha Jones, Natasha Fuller, DeAndra Fuller, and Renita Tobin, all of Marion, Alabama. He was a doting grandfather to three grandchildren, Jamya Brown, Kayden Gray, and Javiona Brown, who brought immense joy to his life.
David was a brother to ten sisters and five brothers. He was preceded in death by sisters Alberta Barr, Catherine Warren, Jennie Mae, and brothers Johnnie A. Fuller, Willie Ed, and Jimmy Lee. His surviving siblings include Willie C. (Marvin Edwards, Andrew Fuller, and Sharon of Fort Wayne, Indiana), Claudia (Otis Wimes), Pauline (Earl Gooden), Shirley Fuller, Addie Fuller, Johnny Fuller (Mary, deceased) of Marion, Alabama, Bettie Walker of Tampa, Florida, Wade Fuller (Rose, deceased), J.C. Bennett (Linda) of Fort Wayne, Indiana. One Mother In Law, Mille Jones; One Sister In Law, Elon Jones. His extended family of nieces, nephews, and numerous friends will forever remember David's generous spirit and kind heart.
David was a proud graduate of East Perry High School Class of 1982, where he laid the foundation for his future endeavors. He was a dedicated employee at Tekpak for 25 plus years, known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. David's passion for diesel engines was more than just a hobby; it was a craft he honed with skill and enthusiasm, often working on engines in his spare time.
In his community, David was a respected member of Goshen Lodge 132 in Marion, Alabama. His brothers in the lodge were more than friends; they were a family he loved and treasured. David's involvement with the lodge was a reflection of his commitment to fellowship and service.
David Fuller's life was a journey of faith, love, and hard work. He met life's adversities with a steadfast heart and always emerged with a deeper appreciation for the blessings around him. His memory will be cherished, and his spirit will continue to guide those he loved. As we say farewell to a man who touched so many lives, we take comfort in knowing that David's legacy will endure in the hearts of his loved ones and in the community, he held so dear.
