Mr. Eugene “DOE” Tabb was born on February 12, 1961, to Willie James Tabb, Sr. who preceded him in death and Bertha Carlisle Tabb. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Greenleaf Missionary Baptist Church, Newbern, Alabama.
Eugene was affectionately called “DOE” since he was a child. In his school days he had a love for basketball , stood 6 feet 8 inches tall and was a great player for both Westside and R.C. Hatch High School in Perry County, Alabama. All of his adult life he was a dedicated Auto Glass Technician and a commercial and residential glazier. He spent the last 16 years working at King Auto Trim and Glass in Birmingham, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish his memories three children: Cedric Williams of Marion, Alabama, Demetrius Eugene Tabb of Dallas, Texas and Deidre Monique Tabb of San Antonio, Texas; his mother Mrs. Bertha Carlisle Tabb of Marion, Alabama; three sisters, Barbara Tabb, Rose (Tommy) Williams of Marion, Alabama, and Betty (Alfred) Woods-Bell of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two brothers, Willie James (Ann) Tabb, Jr. and Sam Goree who preceded him in death of Marion, Alabama; Six aunts, SallieLapsley McNeily of Birmingham, Alabama, Eula Mae (Jack) Carlisle of Tuskegee, Alabama, Annie (Abraham) Edwards of North Chicago, Illinois, Willie Mae Tabb (George) of Selma, Alabama, Roselean Tabb, Jessie (Melvin) Sprott, and Leola (Arthur) Billingsley all of Marion, Alabama; Two uncles, Robert Tabb of Fort Wayne, Indiana and James (Aina) Foster of Waukegan, Illinois. A list of special first cousins whom he grew up with and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
