GEORGE WILLIAM CLARK JR was born to George William Clark Sr and Orpha Pace Clark on April 11, 1948.  He openly declared his love of and belief in Christ when he was ten years old under the leadership of Pastor B. F. McDole at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Selma, Alabama.  He attended and graduated from R. B. Hudson High School.  After graduation from high school, George joined the United States Air Force and became an aircraft mechanic.  He was selected to the prestigious position of First Sergeant, even being nominated as “First Sergeant of the Year” while stationed at Williams Air Force Base in Chandler, Arizona.  He married his best friend, Margie Dean Simonton Lewis Clark, on 24 May 1975 at Upper Hayford Royal Air Base in England.George had a very giving heart, and in fact, he was Santa for the Have a Heart Foundation for more than 14 years.  His role as Santa touched the lives of hundreds of special needs children.  George’s parents preceded him in death.  He leaves to hold dear his memories his wife, Margie Dean Clark of Prattville, Alabama, son, George William Clark III (Janina) of Sasebo, Japan, daughter, Ebony Adia Clark of Montgomery, Alabama, Daughter, Maxine Sturdivant of Valley Grand, Alabama, brother, Theorthy Clark of Flat Rock, North Carolina, sister, Orpha Clark of Selma, Alabama, sister, Krystal Dozier, Selma, Alabama. He has six grandchildren; Antoine Clark (Jalissa), Summer Sturdivant, a very special grandson, William Dean Clark, Author Sturdivant Jr., Autumn Sturdivant, and Tyson Clark.    He also leaves his step-mother, Evelyn Barge Clark of Selma, Alabama, many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, and a very special nephew, Arthur Gaines Jr.
