Mr. James Avery Jr, was born on December 8, 1961 to James and Willie Avery. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Newbern , Alabama where he was a member until his departure. James Jr. was a graduate of West Side High School in Perry County. He joined and served in the United States Army for 16 years. James enjoyed family first, cooking, music and helping anyone whenever he could without question. James Jr. departed this life June 6, 2021 at his home in Newbern, Alabama.
James Avery Jr. is preceded in death by two brothers – Roosevelt Carlisle and Norman Pair and special nephew Michael Lindsey
