James Benjamin Obituary

James A. Benjamin, the oldest son of the late Curtis and Maggie Benjamin was born in Marion, Alabama on May 2, 1936. He entered into eternal life on April 12, 2022.

 

James lived his life enjoying his family and friends. He was an avid fisherman, card player ,loved his dominos games, and just loved to be outdoors. Through his love for socialization, he was blessed with many friends and acquaintances that cared for him deeply.

 

James leaves to mourn his passing two daughters: Maggie (Jessie)   Hinkle of Marion, Alabama and Jimmie Jackson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two sons Anthony (Nakia) Benjamin of Fayetteville, Georgia and  Benjamin (Roshell) Smith; 10 grandchildren; great grandchildren; sister Sally Russell of Seattle Washington, and brother Eddie Benjamin of Marion, Alabama. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nannie Smith; brothers Curtis Benjamin, Jr., Herbert and Willie Benjamin; sisters Mary L. White and Ruby Scott.
