James E Shaw

Bro. James Confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and later joined the Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Marion, Alabama where he remained until death.

James was known for his love of singing he was a member of the mass choir and he lead songs in the Male Chorus.

James was preceded in death by his father Lester Shaw; a son, Edward Antoine Johnson-Shaw; a brother, Bobby Lee Shaw and a sister Dorothy Jean Shaw.

James moved from earth to eternal life on Monday, May 24, 2021.  he leaves to mourn his untimely passing, a wife Mattie Johnson-Shaw of 50 years.  A loving and devoted mother Mary Shaw; children, Shewana,  Dianne (Lloyd), Gloria (Steven), Sherita, Lolitha, Anita Ann, Marcus (Ella), Antonia (Ana); Dorothy Mae Whitsett, David (Diane) Shaw, and Harrison Shaw, a host of Grands, nieces, nephews, family and friends
