Jannie Bell Morton was born in Marion Alabama on March 25, 1961 to the late Arthur and Mary Ann Johnson. She was joined in holy matrimony to Mr. James Morton. Jannie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Providence Baptist Church she later became a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where she was an active member, a Matron, served in the kitchen and later became the Church Secretary. Jannie was employed with the Perry County School System for thirty-nine years, she touched the lives of many of whom she came in contact with while working. She later retired. One brother preceded her in death; James Arthur Johnson. Jannie leaves to cherish her memories: Tonya Nelson (Lord David) of Hoover, Alabama, Jamie Morton of Montgomery Alabama, and Arthur Johnson of Huntsville Alabama; one grandchild Micah Nelson; one brother: Richard Earl Johnson of Indianapolis Indiana, four sisters: Donna Johnson, Jackie Morton (Jimmy) of Marion Alabama, Mary Myers of Atlanta Georgia, Linda Watson and Annie Pearl Johnson of Fort Wayne Indiana; four aunts: Sarah Ann Lucky of Marion, Alabama, Dora Holifield of Fort Wayne Indiana, Ada Cannon (OC) and Pearl Johnson of Cleveland Ohio; three uncles Alfred Johnson (Nita), Marvin Johnson (Callie) and Melvin Johnson all of Cleveland Ohio, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
