Jesse J Tubbs

Mr. Jesse J. Tubbs was born July 15, 1940 to the late Mr. Benjamin and Euella Tubbs.

He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Nebo AME Zion Church.  He moved to Chicago, Illinois and in later years he returned to Marion, Alabama and rejoined Mt. Nebo AME Zion Church August 4, 2013.

Jesse joined the US Army from 1958 – 1960.  He continued his work career in Chicago, Illinois at Zenith Corporation until he retired.

Jesse departed his life April 10, 2021 at the Noland Hospital (DCH) in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  His parents Mr. Benjamin and Euella Tubbs; one sister, Stella Person and two brothers Eddie Tubbs and Jimmy Glenn Tubbs all preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn five daughters; Elizabeth Tubbs, Katrina Bennett, Orlantha Bennett, Shaneka Gunn and Dominique Pelack all of Chicago, Illinois; one son, Bryan Tubbs of Chicago, Illinois; four sisters, Mattye Grier of Leads, Alabama, Mary Thomas of Marion, Alabama, Kathleen Riley and Helen Epps of Chicago, Illinois; three brothers, James (Marilyn) Tubbs of Memphis, Tennessee, William (Deborah) Tubbs of Dothan, Alabama, and Robert Tubbs of Marion, Alabama; two aunts, Claudine Lee of Marion, Alabama, Lucille Hooks of Montgomery, Alabama; two uncles, Collie (Doris) Tubbs, Elmer (Karen) Tubbs of Hillister, Texas; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, host of  nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
