Brother John Sanders, Sr. was born to the late Lue Ella King Sanders and Governor Sanders in Marion, Alabama. He was called to walk through the valley of the shadow of death, but he feared no evil for god was with him., Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Southland Nursing Home in Marion, Alabama.
John was preceded in death by his parents Lue Ella and Governor Sanders, two sons John Sanders, Jr. and Ricky Sanders; one grandson, Mozelle Moore, Jr.; Brother, Govenor Sanders, Edward Sanders, James Sanders,; Sister Mary Lue Sanders.
John received his education in Marion, Alabama. During his life John Confessed Christ at an early age and joined Marrietta United Methodist Church, Marion, Alabama.
John moved to Chicago, Illinois in his adulthood. He was employed until his retirement at Republican Aluminum. Once retired John moved back to his first love, his home town– Marion, Alabama. Gleefully he rejoined Marrietta United Methodist Church. John spoke fondly of his love for Marrietta until he made his transition.
John leaves to cherish his special memories: wife Lillie Sanders, Selma, Alabama; Daughter, Deborah ( Charles) Kendrick, Savannah, Georgia; Son, Rev. Mozella (Marilyn) Moore, Marion, Alabama; Brother, Charles Sanders, Cleveland, Ohio, William (Beverly) Sanders, Marion, Alabama; Sisters, Arlova (Elijah) Colgram, Ceila, Peurto Rico, Golderstein Sanders, Chicago, Illinois; Grandson, Alexander (Victoria) Bates, John Wayne Moore; Granddaughter, Lee Ann Moore all of Marion, Alabama; hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
John will be truly missed by his brother William (Bill) Sanders.
