On Thursday October 3, 3019 there was a beautiful transition from earthly life to eternal life. Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin went home to rest from his labors to receive his crown of life.
Jonah Leverette was born on March 19, 1955 to the late Johnny and Bessie Leverette. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age and joined Provewell Baptist Church, Sprott, Alabama.
Jonah was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Bessie Leverett; three brothers, Johnny, Allen and Arthur; one sister, Linda Hogue.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Jonah, Jr. (Sharlette),Joshua (Shakeita) of Marion, Alabama; one daughter, Lakeisha (Dequante) of Marion, Alabama; ten grandchildren, Jaylin, Jordan, Donnarious, Joniyah, Taliyah, Kendarious, Ahmad, Joshua Jr., Jo’shun Jr., Kaeson; four sisters, Willietta (Ronnie) Roberson, Louise ( John) Moore of Maplesville, Alabama, Florence (Joe) Parker and Mary Leverette all of Marion, Alabama; three brothers, Willie Leverett of Sprotts, Alabama, Al Robert ( Mary) Leverette, Richard Leverette of Marion, Alabama ; two sister in-laws, Jeanette Leverette and Emma Leverette both of Marion, Alabama; three uncles, Hosea (Barbara) Rutledge, Eddy (Annie) Rutledge and Henry (Callie) Rutledge; one aunt, Paralee Ford, Birmingham, Alabama and a host other relatives and friends.
