Louis "LC" Lewis Obituary

Deacon  L.C. Clark was born on July 16, 1944 in Perry County, Alabama to the late Henry Lewis and Velma Wilkerson Lewis.  He departed this life on July 2, 2019 at the Perry County Nursing Home.

Deacon Lewis graduated from Lincoln School in 1963.

He confessed Christ at the Vilula Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Oliver Edwards.  He later moved his membership to Berean Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert Johnson and others, where he was a faithful and dedicated member of the church.  Deacon, President of the Usherboard, Pastor Aide Committee, and member of the Male Choir until his health failed.  His favorite song was “This Little Light of Mine’.

Deacon Lewis worked at Lecroy Furniture and Appliance for  30 years, where he was know as “Lecroy Man”.  He also had a Lawn Service which was named Lewis and Sons, fixed    appliances for many people.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Lewis;    mother, Velma Wilkerson Lewis, and sisters, Lillian  Johnson.

He is survived by three children: Ronald (Anita) Rutledge, Tuscaloosa, AL; Elmer Collins and Sandra Munden both of Marion, AL; two sisters, Marie Scott, Marion, AL and Janie Young, Summerville, SC; six grandchildren, three step grandchildren, a special friend Bessie Williams, Marion, AL and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends
