Mable O Murphy

Ms. Mable O’Neal Murphy was born on September 24, 1934 to the late Willie Nelson and Hattie Jane Murphy in Marion, Alabama.

Mable was a member of Morning Star Church until her illness prevented her from attending. Mable graduated from Marion Baptist Academy and moved to Miami, Florida for a few years. She moved back home to Marion, Alabama to help her parents. During her life, she had no biological children, but she showed her family and everyone she met what true love was all about.

Mable is proceeded in death by her parents, Willie and Hattie Murphy, 3 brothers, Lovelace, John and Robert   Murphy, 3 sisters, Mattie Murphy, Lucinda Grant and Willie Mae McPherson.

Mable departed this life on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Heritage Nursing Home of Tuscaloosa, AL.

She leaves to cherish her memories a very devoted niece whom she called her daughter Hattie (Greg) Tubbs of  Northport, Alabama; 3 brothers, Marshall (Tina) of  Hempstead, New York; James and Percy Murphy of  Miami, Florida; one aunt, Etta Mae Sewell of Newbern, Alabama. Mable also leaves a host of nieces, nephews’ cousins and friends.
