There is a time and season for all things. The time has now come to celebrate the life long, works of Mary Lou Woods Brown.
Mary Lou was the eighth child born June 12, 1922 to George and Emma Lou Woods. She was the last of her siblings to transition on September 23, 2020.
Mary Lou Brown began a life on the Christian path at a early age. A life long path of membership of various churches from Marion, Alabama to New York City and back to Marion, Alabama. After living in New York for 36 years return to Marion, Alabama and joined Berean Baptist Church and remained a member until her passing.
Mary Lou Woods and Manuel Brown were married in 1947 to this union seven children were born.
Mary was preceded her in death; her parents, George and Emma Lou Woods, two daughters, Mary Emma Collins and Ethel Rene Brown; three grandchildren, Tonia Lorraine Collins, James Howard and Stanley Stewart.
She leaves to cherish her love; Gloria Stewart (Gene) English, Shirley ”Yanna” Brown and Leon Brown all of Marion, Alabama, Huddie Brown of Georgia and Lawrence Brown of New York City; Grandchildren, Merlinda (Chester) Stevenson, Michael (Gabriella) Burt, Gregory (Jackie) Mink, Stanly Collins, Marchelle (Alfonzo) Tarver, Clara Faye Hall, Gregory Stewart, Amora Allen, Toaharka Allen, Shaquana, Anthony, Carlette, Antwon, Tyshine,and Eric; one sister-in-law, Thelma Lewis, and a host of great grands, nieces nephews residing all over the US and internationally.
We are now five generations and counting.
