Sister Mary W. Shelton was born February 13, 1944 to the late Eugene and Lula Bell Watters.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Oak Grove Augustine Baptist Church Suttles, Alabama. She served faithfully until her health failed.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Howard Shelton, Sr. To the union six children were born Preceded her in death. one son, Wilbur Shelton; two brother Johnnie Watters, and Eugene Watters, Jr.; three sisters, Leola Johnson, Sara Watson, and Lizzie Billingsley.
She departed her life at her home on September 26, 2021. She will be remembered by many.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories two daughters, Clementine (Bernard) Tarver; Cindy (Alfred) Beal of Selma, Alabama; Three sons, Bobby (Shelia) Shelton; Howard Shelton, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; Clarence Shelton of Selma, Alabama; one sister, Emma Simpson of Selma, Alabama; three half brothers, four half sisters, sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, several brothers –in-laws and sister-in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
