Mary Ann Stevenson

Ms. Mary Ann Stevenson, was born on August 31, 1960 to Ms. Mary Ella Stevenson and the late Mr. Earl Hughes, Sr. in Marion, AL.

She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and joined the Berean Baptist Church of Marion, AL where she was a Faithful member and served on the Usher Board.

Mary Ann was a very Loving and devoted Mother and Grandmother. She was affectionately known to her Grandkids as “Nannie”. She loved everyone, but especially her Grandkids whom she were raising like her own. She was a Christian woman, a strong mother, and a prenominal  person. She never met a stranger and she was well known in the community. Her beautiful smile will be missed. 

On Wednesday, August 8, 2018, Mary Ann Transitioned to her eternal resting place at her home.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories: three  children, a devoted son, Jamarcus Stevenson of Marion, AL; two loving daughters, Demetria (Babatunde) Yusuf of Dallas, TX and Lakeisha (Westley) Shaw of Marion, Alabama; A loving mother, Mary Ella Stevenson; Two sisters, Shirley (Edward) Steele and Jacqueline Hughes;  One Brother, Earl (Gay Nell)Hughes , Jr two Aunts, Lou Ella Stevenson and Eloise (Hugh) Sanders. 4 grandchildren Zorria Wimes, Zykeria Shaw, Zackery Smith, and Westley Shaw Jr. A special niece and  nephew: Kalisha Steele and Edward Steele Jr., and a host of other relatives and Friends.
