Matthias Tyrone Miller

Mr. Matthias (Matt) Tyrone Miller entered this life on February 7, 1985 to Dorothy D. Miller and the late Willie S. Miller, Jr. Matthias gained his wings on Tuesday January 17, 2023.

Matt graduated from Selma High School in 2003, later moving to and resided in Montgomery, Alabama. He married the love of his life Mrs. Sonya R. Moore-Miller in January 18, 2019.

Matt enjoyed living life, spending time with  his family. He worked  for US Foods for 17 years.  He will mostly be remembered by everyone for his love of Alabama Football.  ROLL TIDE ROLL! Matt was never a man of many words until the conversation of Alabama came up.  He had a smile that would light up a room. He loved to travel with his wife, and especially loved her cooking. Over the years he learned to be a Master on the BBQ Grill. Hanging out with friends and family we can never forget his favorite saying “ This is What I Do!”

Matt was preceded in death by his father Willie S. Miller, Jr.; grandmothers, Maggie James and Mary Miller of Selma, Alabama.

Matt will be forever cherished by his wife, Sonya R. Moore-Miller of Montgomery, Alabama; mother, Dorothy D. Miller of Selma, Alabama; two sons Tyreq and Malik Miller of Selma, Alabama; two daughters, Derrimya Brooks and D’Erriea Moss of Montgomery, Alabama; father and mother-in-law, Bertram (Joann) Moore of Selma, Alabama; three brothers, Donnie Miller, Willie (Celena) Miller III of Selma, Alabama and Christopher (Melissa) Miller of Mobile, Alabama; one brother in law, Terence Myles of Selma, Alabama; two sister-in-laws, Latasha (Jeremy) Pernell and Whitney Moore of Selma, Alabama; eight nephews, seven nieces and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
