Obituary

Nancy Lucille Smith, was born June 2, 1947 as with Prophet Jeremiah, the Lord knew the Plan he had for Nancy the Lord so planned that on January 28, 2022. Nancy would enter into Eternal Rest, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

She was the oldest child born to Mary Rose Smith and Sam Reed. She was preceded in death by Brothers Johnny James Smith and Elijah Paul Smith, Daughters Debra Annette Smith and Stepdaughter Addie Sewell, Son Antonio Clayton Smith, and Grandson Clinton Smith, Jr. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age. She lived most of her adult life in Benton Harbor, MI and Ft. Wayne, IN. Where she was truly loved and adored. She had an infectious smile that lit up a room. She welcomed everyone into her home. She would cook and feed anyone who graced her door. She was affectionately known as “Bunchie” and to all the Grandkids & Great grand “Grandma Bunch”.

As an employee of the Hilton of Ft Wayne for many years she took that big smile and kind heart with her she was truly loved and highly respected by the management, the staff and most of the patrons those who return frequently would request her services because Housekeeping was her specialty . She worked there until her health began to falter. She later relocated back to Marion, AL. Even through her faltering health she remained dedicated and devoted to her kids, grandkids, and great grands instilling in them the importance of family and no matter what life threw her she remained steadfast in faith. She left behind a Greatness, a Legacy of Love that will live in our hearts and will never be forgotten.

Her memories will forever be cherished by her Sons: Anthony (Cynthia) Smith of Madison AL, Clinton Smith of Cleveland OH, Jerome (Sandra) Smith of Marion AL, Tyrone Smith of Huntsville AL, Terell Smith of Ft. Wayne IN, Stepson Robert F. Sewell, Jr. Benton harbor MI. Daughters: Darticia (Edmon) Smith, Natasha Smith of Indianapolis IN, Stepdaughters Patty and Cindy Sewell of Ft. Wayne IN. A host of Grands and Great Grands, Nieces, Nephew, Great Nieces, Great Nephew. Three Godsons: Marsellus Brown of Las Vegas NV, Johnel Swanson of Benton Harbor MI, Bennie Woods of Southbend IN. A Special Friend Mrs. Emily Easley and a host of Relatives and Friends.
