Mrs. Nancy V. Williams the fifth child of nine children of the late miles and Huldia Green, was born on August 6, 1917 in Marion, Perry County, Alabama. She departed this life on September 16, 2019, at the Southland Nursing Home in Marion. Her siblings, five brothers and three sisters, her husband Andrew Williams, granddaughter Stephanie Smith and great granddaughter, Constance preceded her in death.
Confessing faith in Jesus Christ at an early age, she joined Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. After returning to Marion she reunited with the Morning Star Baptist Church where she served faithfully.
Nancy attended Alabama Public Schools.
She later moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana where she was employed at the Indiana Hotel for over 30 years. After retiring from this position she relocated to Marion. Upon returning home she was employed by the Southland Nursing Home until her second retirement.
She is survived by a devoted daughter Estelle (Robert) Smith; two grandchildren, Valerie Smith, Fredrick (Suzie) Smith; five great grandchildren, Tameia C. Smith, Camille Harris, Darrell (Jamie) Sanders, Selena Landcaster, Tarvarius Smith; three great great grandchildren, Dynver Dawson, Travarius Harris and Sevyn Dawson; two sisters in law, Gwen Ester Green and Johnnie Mae Green and a loving host of nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a hard working and generous lady.
