Mr. Oscar Lee Wilson “Butch” was born August 12, 1954, in Minter (Dallas County), AL to the late Mr. Frank Wilson and Mrs. Artelia Hatcher Wilson. He departed this life on January 4, 2025, in Detroit, Michigan.
In his youth he joined the Simpson Chapel Methodist Church and served during his early years. He is a graduate of Westside High School in Marion, Alabama. He was a football player and an outstanding member and starter for the basketball team.
He was a resident of Detroit, Michigan for nearly 50 years where he worked for several companies as a Construction worker and a professional truck driver.
Oscar was the youngest son of 12 siblings; of which 9 preceded him in death. He is the father of two children: one preceding him in death.
One of Butch’s passions was staying in constant contact with family and friends.
His memory will be cherished by his son, Malik Taylor-Wilson of Detroit, Michigan; three sisters, Rebecca Wilson Jordan of Montgomery, Alabama; Loretta Wilson of Marion, Alabama, and Lucille Hatcher of Fort Worth, Texas. He also has numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends with whom he kept in touch. They will miss him deeply.
