Peggie Diane England was born on November 29, 1968, in Marion, Alabama to the union of Rev. Jerry and Mrs. Sarah Wright. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Hopewell Baptist Church. She departed this life for her heavenly home on March 14, 2022, in Homewood, Alabama.
As a young child, Peggie loved to sing. You could find her in the choir stand at her Father’s churches weekly, singing away. Some of her favorite songs to lead were “Lord, Help Me to Hold Out – Until My Change Comes” and more recently she sang with passion “If I Had Wings”.
On November 1, 1987, she married the love of her life, Rev. George England, III. As a Pastor’s wife, she followed her husband and worked with him throughout his ministry invarious churches. She loved to travel to the conventions –district, state, and national. If you were searching for a scripture, all you had to do was check with her, and she would get you what you needed quickly.
Peggie was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. George England, III, her parents, Rev. Jerry and Mrs. Sarah Wright, her oldest brother, Lue David Wright, her father-in-law, Deacon George England, Jr., brothers-in-law, Jermaine England and Willie Peeples, many uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Peggie is survived by her siblings – Anna Bell Wright, Jerry Dean Boykins, Rev. Lue Gene (Cathy) Wright, Lillie Mae (Harold) Suttle, Walter James Wright, and Patricia Ann Wilder; her mother-in-law Jeanette England, a sister-in-law Pastor Joyce England-Peeples; her nieces and nephews Lue David Suttle, Anna Bell Suttle, Alesia Yvonne (Chris) Wright-Johnson, Sara Annette Boykins-Brown, Reeci James Wright, Jeremy Tyrone (LaCrecia) Wright, Jarrele Lamar Wright, Theodore Wood Wilder, II, Richard Oliver Hazell Wilder, Rev. Jeremy Peeples, Jennie Peeples, and Jasmine Peeples; thirteen great nieces and nephews, one great-great nephew, special Goddaughters LaWanda Gregory and Tricia Suttle, a special brother-in-law Zachary Brown, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
