Sherry Ann "Tee" Bates

Sherry A.  “Tee” Bates was born September 27, 1970 in Marion, Alabama to Mary T. Bates and the late Willie Bates.

Sherry gained her heavenly wings on Sunday, July 5, 2020. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and great grandparents.

Sherry accepted Christ at an early age and joined Green Liberty Baptist Church in Marion, Alabama.

Sherry attended Francis Marion High School, and graduated with the Class of 1988. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, doing word puzzles, and shopping at Walmart.

She leaves to cherish her loving mother, Mary T. Bates and non parental father, Willie Smith; three adoring daughters, Tatandia Bates, Natasha Bates, and Dornessa Bates all of Marion, Alabama; four precious grandchildren, Asiah Dunnican, Deviontis Dunnican, De’Ziah Brooks, and Denver Dunnican; five devoted siblings, one brother, Kenneth Bates of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; four sisters, Mary (Gary) Flowers and Latonia Bates of Marion, Alabama; Rosa Bates and Cassandra (Christopher) Paige of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; a special nephew/brother, Wesley Bates of Moundville, Alabama; a loyal son, Daniel Brooks of Marion, Alabama; a special cousin Doris Bates of Marion, Alabama; four special friends Bernice Green, Sherita Foster-Sanders, Roxanne Hogan, and Gloria Clemons; amazing and supportive classmates; Harold Kynard, Tyrone Smith, and the class of 1988; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
