Tammy J Goree-Evans

Tammy Goree Evans well known as Poonie was born September 7, 1970 to Elmer Joe and Gloria Jean Goree.  She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Hopewell Baptist Church.

Tammy departed this life at her home on September 7, 2021. She was preceded in death by her brother Eddie Goree, Grandmother Leola Foster and Mary Rose Williams; grandfather, James Marvin Foster and Patricia Lewis, aunts, Mattie Foster Presley, Julia Moore, Barbara Goree Moore and several uncles.

Tammy leaves to cherish her husband John Evans and  son, Demetric Goree (Shanquanetta) of Marion, Alabama; 4 grandchildren Kayleigh, Demetric Jr.,    Hailey and Londyn; 2 brothers, Leon Goree  and Chevy Goree (April) of Marion,   Alabama; 2 sisters, Carolyn Tabb( Mike) of Marion, Alabama and Windy Curry (Kevin) of Moundville, Alabama; on God Brother, Cornelius Johnson; Close friend, Freeman Kynard; God Children, Tameka Foster of Wetumpka, Alabama, Alfonso Moore and Latricia Moore of Marion, Alabama; several adopted  grandchildren, and a host of Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nephews, great aunts, great uncles other relatives and friends.
