Thelma L Merchant

Thelma Lee Merchant was born on January 15, 1951 in Orrville, Alabama to Levert “Snook” Brown and Sallie Mae Tolbert. At the age of 73, she passed away peacefully in the arms of her first born on Sunday, May 26, 2024. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, and husband Roosevelt Merchant. She leaves to cherish memories to her three beloved children, King Tolbert of Selma, Alabama, Shaunta Merchant of Birmingham, Alabama, and Roosevelt Merchant, Jr. (Kia) of Selma, Alabama; Twelve grandkids and three great grandkids; three sisters, Janice T. Walker, Sadie Tolbert and Mary Lankford (Harvey) all of Georgia; two brothers, Clarence Tolbert and Lorenzo Tolbert both of Georgia; one niece, three nephews, a host of cousins and friends; a very special friend George Griffin and a very close cousin Corine West.
