Theola "Buster" Ward, Jr

Theola Ward, Jr. was born March 16, 1949 to the late Theola Ward, Sr. and Helen Norfleet Ward Bryant in Perry County, Alabama.

He confessed Christ at an early age, and joined the Rising Star Baptist Church of  Birmingham, Alabama.  He later moved to Marion, Alabama and joined the Oak Grove United Methodist Church of Newbern, Alabama.

Theola was married to Murlean Olds to the union two children was born.  Later he met and married Fannie Young Boykin.

Theola was preceded in death by his father, Theola (JC) Ward, Sr,  stepfather, Rev. Alfonzo Bryant, Sr.; brothers, Terry Ward and Alonzy Bryant, Sr.

Theola leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of 36 years Fannie Ward,a loving and devoted mother Helen Bryant, a devoted stepmother, Bernice Ward; two daughters,  Mary J. Quarles of Moundville, Alabama, Toniett U. Ward of   Garner, North, Carolina; one son, Darren D. Ward of Jonesboro, Georgia; four step children Robert (Olivette) Boykin, Jr. of  Camden, Alabama, Evelyn (Lyndon) Johnson of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, Lizzie Boykin of Greensboro, Alabama, Denise (Willie) Lewis of Deatsville,Alabama; six sisters, Melinda (Clarence) Royals of Birmingham, Alabama, Hattie Joshua, Pren Tella Bryant, Wendolyn Morgan all of  Birmingham, Alabama, Yolanda Morgan of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Tonyia Cunningham of Newbern, Alabama; three brothers,  Anthony Tate of Birmingham, Alabama, Edgred Ward of Marion, Alabama, Willie Knox, Newbern, Alabama; four uncles, Archie (Bettye) Ward, David Gunter all of San Fransico,  California, Walter (Vera) Ward of Birmingham, Alabama, Eddie Curry of Fort Wayne, Indiana; four aunts, Elizabeth Gunter, INA (George) Norfleet of Niceville,Florida, Estella ( Charlie) McKinney of Birmingham, AL, Maggie (Roosevelt) Tubbs of Newbern, Alabama; thirteen grandchildren, 16 great children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
