The late Deacon Tommy Lee Hinkle was born on July 7, 1954 to the late Selma and Isaiah Hinkle in Perry County, Alabama. Tommy departed this life on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at his home in Marion, Alabama.
Tommy accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Morning Star Baptist Church in Marion, Alabama. Later in life Tommy was ordained as a Deacon at Morning Star Baptist Church.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Selma and Isaiah Hinkle, four sisters, Mary Elizabeth Mims, Nellie Hinkle, Rosa Lee and Jessie B. Hinkle; two brothers, Isaiah Hinkle, Jr. and Louis Hinkle, Sr. and two sons,William Clarence Sawyer, Jr. and Tommy Lee Hinkle, Jr. and one grandchild Andrea Sawyer.
Tommy was united in holy matrimony to Estella Belcher Hinkle for 40 years.
Tommy leaves to cherish his wonderful memories which will never be forgotten by his devoted wife Estella Hinkle; four daughters, Ethel Sawyer, Melinda Sawyer, Marilyn (Lee) Smith, and Selena (Myron) Ford all of Marion, Alabama; one sister, Lizzie Curry of Newbern, Alabama; two brothers, Jessie (Maggie) Hinkle and Charles Hinkle of Marion, Alabama; three sister-in-laws, Marie Belcher of Brent, Alabama, Barbara Belcher of Marion, Alabama, and Viola Hinkle of Newbern, Alabama; two brother-in-laws, Frank Belcher and Eugene Belcher of Marion, Alabama; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces nephews cousins, other relatives and friends.
