Willie Roy King was born in Marion, Alabama to the late Willie and Julia King on December 20, 1936. He departed this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, peacefully at his home.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Eagle Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He served as a Deacon for 53 years and a faithful choir member until his death. He worked at Henry Brick for 46 years until retir-ing in 2008.
On January 15, 1959, he was united in marriage to Jennie Bell Mahan. To this union 8 children were born, two preceded him in death: Carolyn and Micky. He was also preceded in death by one son-in-law: Leon Sanders, Sr., two siblings Simpson and Julia O’neal.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife, Jennie B. King, two daughters: Willie Jean King and Dorothy Sanders of Marion, AL. Four sons: Wilfred E. King, Lou Gerald King (Tina), Leance King all of Marion, AL, Maurice King (Stacy) and Leonardio King (Erica) of Tuscaloosa, AL, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

Leo King (Mary) of Selma, AL, James McArthur King (Linda) of Selma, AL and Jacqueline P. Allen (Jerome) of Birmingham, AL. Two sisters-in-law: Essie King and Daisy Mahan of Marion, AL; two brothers-in-law: Anderson Mahan (Bernice) Birmingham, AL and Junie Mahan of Marion, AL; one aunt Louise Thomas of Flint, MI. Two God sons: Homer King and Cad Ford, Jr. of Marion, AL . Of course a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
